Egg Recipes

We are taking Bradley classes this time with our pregnancy in order to prepare for a natural child birth. One of the things they tell you to do is to eat 2 eggs a day. I am not the biggest egg person and eating them the same way all the time gets really old. So, I found a site online that has recipes for Bed & Breakfast brunch type meals. The ones we have tried we like. I have also been choosing the ones that I can make the night before - and just pop in the oven in the mornings. It has made Clay and my mornings go much better. Hope you enjoy some of these recipes. If you have any great recipes with eggs - let us know!

Question....having already been through labor twice...why in the world would you want to do it naturally? Are you going to eat these eggs while in labor?

I am totally kidding! lol!

Hope you guys are doing well- we miss you guys!

Good question. I wanted to do it naturally the first time, but was not exactly supported in that thought process. Honestly, the second time around I was so exhausted from already having one baby to take care of and us having just moved and trying to remodel a house, that sleeping through my labor as a result of having an epidural sounded like a great plan. I knew that I was not going to get much sleep/rest before I had the baby and that it was going to be really hard after number two came. But there was still something in me that just wanted to do it naturally. I decided that with my third that really wanted to try to do it naturally. I had more time to talk with Clay and get him to be more supportive of the idea. Plus, I think he became more supportive after 2 episiotomies and the complications those brought. Also, I was concerned about having another epidural. When I lay on my back, I can feel both spots were I received an epidural. While getting epidural with Gabriella, the needle missed where it was suppose to go and scraped bone. I just feel like it is dangerous to keep going that route. Since we are open to having several children - I figure the safest route to keep my body in tack is the least interference by medical intervention is probably the best route. I know that God knew what He was doing when He made our bodies and most of the time if we allow our bodies to work like He created them to - we will get the best results.

So, there you have it - most of my reasons for wanting to do it naturally.

I hope y'all are doing well too. Miss you too. I keep thinking about when we might get to get together again - but it does not seem as if we will ever have a free weekend again. Maybe we will be able to shoot for getting together once a year - as pathetic as that sounds.

Those are good reasons. Its good that Clay is supportive and understanding. Even though my epidural wore off...and I only had it a short time, it was worth it to me. Labor was so difficult, I don't think I would have made it- and afterwards I was so exhausted that I couldn't even hold Naomi. So I will make sure to get one with a button on it and make sure to get it before I am that worn out! LOL!

But its good to know what your body can and cannot handle.

I know, I was thinking about our schedule over the next two months, and it may have to be after the new year that we get together. That is sad, but its hard with life and ministry- but atleast we can keep in touch with each other! :)
